Trip to Pescadero

Sunday, March 9th, 2008

Today was a gorgeous day, we drove out to Pescadero State Beach with Tim. On the way there we stopped at Alameda Army Navy Surplus to buy a entrenching tool so that we could dig a big hole on the beach. I t was the best beach toy I’ve every bought. I had a blast digging a big hole and everyone had fun playing in it.

We went to Duarte’s Tavern and Restaurant for lunch, they have excellent food here. Julie normally gets the half and half, cream of artichoke and cream of green chile soup, but she was worried about the green chile being too spicy so she got the “famous” cream of artichoke soup all by itself. She said the half and half is better, but she’s still glad she didn’t get the green chile. I got a French dip, it was great.

Angel Island

Sunday, April 29th, 2007

Angel Island State Park is located in the San Francisco Bay and is only accessible by boat. We took the Ferry from Tiburon to Angel Island. We hiked to the peak of Mt. Livermore and back down. On the way up we stopped at a bench with a nice view to have lunch. It was a lot of fun.

On the way back we took some pcitures of the collapsed freeway on 580 at the Macarthur Maze.
