We went camping at Morgan Hill Thousand Trails this weekend, it was Alex’s first camping trip! He was fine the first night. The second night he may have been too cold, he woke up in the middle of the night and it took us two hours to get him back to sleep. On Saturday we went to the beach, it was a lot of fun, I got to fly my new kite, and we ate at Duarte’s Tavern and Restaurant in Pescadero.
Wow! What a busy weekend, last night we drove from Brittney’s graduation back to Vancouver, Washington. That was not fun at all, we drove across U.S. Route 12 in the middle of the night, we were both tired and there was a ton of wild animals running across the road. It took us 6 hours to get back since we had to drive rather slow most of the time to avoid hitting any of the wildlife.
Today was fun though! Two family reunions in a row. This time it was Julie’s sister, Kristi’s, birthday party and a time to meet Alex. People came from all over the country for this event as well. We went to Lewisville Park, it was beautiful, right on the river. We had tons of fun!
Last night we flew into Portland, Oregon, and stayed the night with Julie’s family. This morning we drove 3 and a half hours, plus a half hour stop for feeding Alex, to Selah, Washington, where my aunt and uncle live. Their daughter, Brittney, was graduating from high school. So many people from my family decided to attend the graduation that it became a family reunion. My aunt and uncle from Maine came out, my sister and her family drove from Wyoming. There we’re so many people that came from all over the country it was awesome! We had such a good time.
We’re home! We came home yesterday evening and had an enjoyable sleepless night last night. Alex loves to feed. We’re having a great time getting to bond with him. No visitors please. If you would like to bring some food or help with some chores, let us know! You’re welcome to do that, as long as you are healthy.
Happy Birthday! Our baby was born on Monday April 14th at 3:54 PM. It weighed in at 8 pounds 8 ounces and was 20 inches in length. His name is Alexander.
Julie is doing great. She and Alexander have to stay in the hospital until tomorrow afternoon. Visitors are welcome to come and see Julie, visiting hours are 11 AM – 9 PM.

Our expected date is quickly approaching. We currently have two baby showers scheduled. This first one is this Sunday with Julie’s co-workers. The next one is on March 29th at our condominium complex, hosted by my Aunt Sandra and my dads wife Joanne. If you’d like to attend a baby shower and have not yet been invited please let us know.
