Taking the NCLEX

This morning I took the NCLEX. I think I failed. Everything I studied did not seem to be on the test only questions that I did not know the answer to were asked. There were only about two questions that I thought, “Ok, I know this one.”

I woke up at 5am, got to the test center at 6:30am. The test started at 7am. Funny thing happened on the way, I ran into Rawn, who I used to work with at McGettigan. It was great to catch up with him and having someone to talk to took my mind off of where I was headed. At the test center, the two guys running the test center were great. They joked with me which helped to ease my anxiety some. Anyway, it was all high security; finger printing, picture taking, signature. They even measured my bracelet to be sure it was under 1/8 of an inch wide. I sat down. Then, 75 questions and one hour later I left.

Luckily, the testing center was near Lake Merritt. I took a walk around it to calm my nerves. Called a bunch of people just to get my mind off that nagging feeling of failure. I felt and feel awful about the whole thing. If only I had the results… You don’t know the results right away. Check online in a few days and hope the results are there…
